In the Vice Like Grip Of It

About

You are watching a woman through the wall of her home.

Her voice is caught by the microphone in her smart phone and amplified to you. She opens her laptop and an image of her face flickers across the room. You watch her type: 'I think I'm being watched...'

What happens to the relationship between citizens and the state when you know you’re being watched? What does it feel like to be looked at, and why are we all ok with it?
